Why South African guesthouses need one
Most guesthouses here sell on three or four sites: LekkeSlaap and SafariNow for local guests, Booking.com and Airbnb for international ones, plus phone and WhatsApp enquiries. Each site keeps its own calendar. Without a channel manager, someone has to close the same room on every site after each booking, and one missed update means two families arriving for one room.
NitroStay keeps one calendar for every room. When a booking comes in from any channel, the room closes everywhere NitroStay is connected. When you take a phone booking, the channels see the room as taken on their next read.

Which channels does NitroStay connect to?
Today LekkeSlaap, SafariNow and Airbnb connect through two way calendar sync per room type, and Booking.com too where Booking.com offers calendar sync for your property type. The direct connection to Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb, which also sends your rates, arrives in February 2027.
What happens if two channels sell the same room?
NitroStay shows a red clash alert on the calendar the moment a channel takes a room you already sold, so you can move or cancel before the guest arrives.
How fast do calendars update?
NitroStay checks every channel calendar every 15 minutes and publishes your own availability for channels to read at any time. Each channel decides how often it reads it, usually every 15 minutes to a few hours.
Does a channel manager charge commission?
NitroStay does not. You pay one monthly price by size, from R299, and no fee per booking. The channels still charge their own commission, which is why NitroStay also gives you a booking website for commission free direct bookings.
